I use the "backward loop" cast-on method - but any cast on that you can do to add several stitches to the middle of a knitted piece works. Google "backward loop cast-on" and you'll see all sorts of tutorials and perhaps a different technique you may like. Let me know how the super tiny dog sweater turns out! Also, I had trouble with casting back on to the circular needle after closing the armholes. I always use the long-tail cast on. Is that what you used?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-390036033832531774.post-60617205236451348632010-06-20T12:43:13.132-04:002010-06-20T12:43:13.132-04:00Gosh Jeanne... Perhaps knitting the sweater following the small pattern but knitting it in a dk or sock weight yarn and going down in needle size to accommodate the lighter yarn (perhaps a US 2 or 3?). Then customize the length of body and length of legs accordingly. That would be my best suggestion. If it works - let me know!! Good luck... - SarahSarah Ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13498464284324132272noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-390036033832531774.post-49205082686401697232010-06-20T11:39:00.008-04:002010-06-20T11:39:00.008-04:00Hi Sarah! I tried starting it on 4 dpns and it's kinda frustrating and hard to keep up with all the shifting of the stitches. Mimi weighs under 3 lbs. so any other sweater ideas for a tiny princess? I LOVE your site! thanks for the inspiration and for sharing!Jeanne B.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-390036033832531774.post-60980322185152220382010-03-03T11:32:22.952-05:002010-03-03T11:32:22.952-05:00This pattern is available under freebies on the si...This pattern is available under freebies on the side panel.
