For all of you in the Midwest - can you believe all of this bitter cold, snowy weather? It's been brutal here in Michigan. We have resorted to making "dog snow suits" for our puppies. Even our hardy poodle, Maddie, is having a hard time in the bitter cold. Last week we hit a low of -4 degrees (not factoring in windchill). Using a pajama pattern that I got I altered the pattern slightly and made them of thick fleece. Here is our poodle showing off her new outfit that keeps her slightly comfy in the tundra...

ReplyDeleteVery nice. Do you have a pattern to share?
ReplyDeleteI live in Belfast and have a beautiful Bichon/Poodle. Your fleece is perfect and so cute. Would it be possible for you to share your pattern with me? I have also been looking for a knitting pattern for a long coat with 4 legs without luck. Many Thanks Diane
ReplyDeleteAfter the holidays I will be sewing up some more for my puppies. I'll look into making a pattern to share online.
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays!
Your dog creations are wonderful!! I'm looking forward to trying my hand at several knitted sweaters. But I could really, really use a pattern for the 4-legged winter suit you made for Maddie. I have a 6lb Chihuahua boy with a long back, so either store-bought things are too short on his back or too long on his belly (urinates all over it). I live in the Chicago area--talk about COLD. I've been wanting to make him something, even if I have to sew it by hand (limited skills). So, I'd GREATLY appreciate a pattern, if u find the time. Thanks for all the sharing you do!! BTW, great pics as well.
